Born in the state of Perak, Ivan Tai has been in the entertainment industry for over a decade with beginning his career as a freelance actor in numerous Film and Music video while also frequenting in the Media as a reporter and editor for several years.
2013, Ivan’s debut in a music video when he starred in Catherine’s debut song <My Tiny Time> as a student. In the next year, he starred in Edmund Yeo’s “River of Exploding Durian” as a student protester named Guo Xiang. This film became the first Malaysian film to be selected to compete in the Main Prize competition of the Tokyo International Film Festival 2014.
Aside from acting, Tai has reported many news special reports in local. A graduate with a Bachelor Degree in Mass Communication, he dabbled briefly in entertainment reporting for a local online media Viggou (Onkpopz is formally named) before joining Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) as a TV reporter and editor in 2017. After 2 years, Ivan eventually became a TV personality as a News Anchor for RTM Mandarin News.
Also, Ivan was living out his dream of being an entrepreneur and He established his personal label (Ivan Tai Studio), in order to pursue his career. In 2020, Ivan launched his own activewear brand, called Extsence.
His real Chinese name is 戴骏豪. He changed his Chinese name to 戴靖航 as his stage name since 2019.
Ivan was holidaying with his family in Bangkok and Phuket in December 2004 and back in KL before Christmas eve
